Recently discovered after long term storage/ starts and runs! This is a amazingly rust free super rare French made Facel Vega FV 2 B all original for sure.
In March 1956, a full year after the introduction of his predecessors FV, FV 1 and FV 2, the first FV 2 B left the factory. Of the FV 2 B, which was produced until November 1956, only 30 FV 2's were built in 1956. Among public and press, the new Facel was well received. The car already had some of the later Facel Vega characteristics, like the ‘wraparound panoramic windscreen', but was still equipped with single headlights (instead of the later twin stacked ones). With a 5.4 liter Chrysler V 8, the car came with a slightly heavier engine than the FV 2.
The car's history
At the time of the introduction of the FV 2 B, Facel Vega's star was rising. Waiting lists were as long as 8 months. There was no need for publicity as a Facel sold itself. In 1956, without a dealer involved, the car was sold directly to its first French owner, industrial Gérard Foussier. Eventually, just as happened to many other Facel Vega's, the car was shipped to the United States. The car has matching numbers. Nowadays it is one of only forty FV 2 B's believed to be still existing.
