Vehicle Details

Rare 1980 Chevy C-10 short-bed step-side pickup. My wife has passed in March of this year so I am reluctantly selling what my wife called Daddy's Toy. The mileage is listed at 3000 but I really have no accurate idea. I know that I put no more than 3000 miles on it and I bought it right after it had been restored.

I drove it only for pleasure and to car shows and on the rare occasion when my first vehicle was inoperable. I don't know how many miles the restorer put on it but it couldn't have been many.

He actually died before he finished the resto, and his brother finished it and sold me the truck. It is show quality but runs smoothly and reliably as a daily driver if you so wished.

The paint is from House of Colors and is tangelo-orange pearl. Very high quality paint job that glistens and pops in the sun or in the shade. Positively no rust and never has had any. Always garaged and covered as well. Newer 350 crate engine runs great, strong and reliable. When I bought it it had a B&M manual shift 350 TH trans but that thing was for drag racing. I had my dealer convert it to fully automatic, with the option to shift through the gears if I wished. I'm 76 years old and I didn't drive it like a 20-something.New interior with overhead ABS headliner panel with four built-in speakers, light and storage. 2 more speakers behind the seat. AM/FM/CD stereo. New dash pad and upholstery. New wheels and tires. New front and rear LED lighting for great visibility.

When I got it it had straight pipes. I couldn't hear myself think even at low speeds. It now has dual mufflers and pipes. Still growls when you step on it but doesn't deafen you going down the road. Original shocks were so stiff that going over expansion joints on a bridge would rattle your teeth. I just spent $650 putting in softer shocks. WORLD of difference! Doesn't burn oil, doesn't overheat, tracks straight down the road like nobody's business. The tailgate and the bed are perfect. The inside and the rails of the bed have been coated with what I used to call Rhino Hide. Whatever the brand it is tough AND gorgeous. I don't know what the black slats in the bed are made of but they're textured like the bed rails. I can take other pictures if anyone needs them. I bought this rig already restored but I will try to answer any of your questions. My mechanic is Reborn Automotive in Portland, Oregon. Feel free to contact Hans at that shop if you want to confirm the condition of this beautiful truck.Get's a lot of horn honks and thumbs ups from other drivers. Like the lady at the gas pump across from me said “That's one bitchin' Chevy you got there!” Buyer to arrange local pickup or shipping. Images
