Jaguar E Type Series 1 3.8 FHC LHD 1962
Manufactured mid 1962 just after flat floor cut off
Original OP. silver blue with blue trim
Not matching numbers - correct 3.8 E Type engine included which has a casting date of march 1962 so is absolutely period correct for this car
The car was dismantled some time ago, most major unrestored parts are included though - work will be required sourcing some missing parts.
The car has a rust free California body restored to concours standard, perfect gapping and profiling. The shell was restored on a jig (for dimensional checking and support) by the same technicians using the same process as Jaguar Heritage in their E Type Reborn programme.
Stored in clear etch primer and ready for paint, fully lead loaded with nothing left to do!
Welding replicated precisely
Footwells replaced only due to jacking damage
Sill outers removed only to enable inner sill inspection and paint protection
Amazingly original body overall - original Jaguar data plate included with photos of the unrestored body with the plate still rivetted in place.
Body is dolly mounted for ease of transport and can be delivered to you to suit.
Any of the parts you need an image of just ask.
Compare the cost of a fully restored body, for which you'll have to supply parts, and for which more paint shaping work will be required and you'll see that its more than I'm asking for the car.
Super 'finish at home' project following paint.
I ought to finish and build this car myself but other projects are a priority for the foreseeable future.....
For sale as-is with V5 and UK registration as 586 XVE.
