1985 AMC EAGLE WAGON 4.2 STRAIGHT SIX CYLINDER PETROL AUTOMATIC

Automatic gearbox with selectable four wheel drive which can be selected on the fly.

Has been fitted with Jeep Cherokee heavy duty springs with one leaf removed, which has given it around 2" lift at the back end, it is a very simple process to remove another leaf and bring the rear ride height back to standard if that was desired. Rear tyres are getting a little tired now so would look to replace in the not too distant future.

Has Cherokee spoked alloys on it just now, but will also come with a set of chrome smoothies with new road tyres as part of the sale. original springs and a few other spares I have including workshop manuals and a genuine original keyring.

Has been serviced annually. MOT until 25 th August 2022.

It's a relatively normal sized car for the UK - not nearly as big as some other American cars - easy to park in a normal car parking space, small garage or fine on narrow streets.

Fairly economical for what it is, we have been getting an average of about 22-24 mpg. Suspension is firm and not boaty at all.

Interior is in good clean condition, some wear and tear with age, but almost everything works as it should. Radio is still original US radio with a tape player. The fuel gauge bounces around a little but it is easy to gauge the level as it rests where the level is between bouncing.

There is Carter-webber carb fitted and metal rocker cover which are both common items to give problems. Revs as it should. Pulls through all gears. Stops well.

Exterior is also in good condition, there is one bit of trim missing from the drivers side passenger door

It's a great looking car, so take your chance to own something that there's not many of!

The Eagle is spotless underneath but has a little sun damage and lacquer peel in places on top but I feel it adds to its character.

I have not had it out through any winter months since import to keep the underside as clean as it is. there is no corrosion to worry about.

I can organise any pictures of the underside or walk around videos for any buyers looking from a distance although pictures don't do this justice, it looks so much better in person.

We are based in the North of Scotland, if you are located at the south of the country flights from Bristol/ Birmingham/ London are cheap and you could fly up to Inverness Airport and drive home, or we could try and arrange transport at an additional cost. Approx £1 per mile one way, door to door. We drove it home from Plymouth to North of Scotland when we first bought it late 2016 and it didn't mind at all!
