                The car has been my daily driver for the past 3 years now. I have enjoyed every minute of it. Surprisingly enough. it handles modern life well. It has (on paper work) close to 130. 00 miles. With that said. I am quite sure there are more miles on it than that. This car has taken me many places both near and far away. It has the 5cyl Inline Diesel engine-non turbo. 4 wheel disc brakes. Overall the car is very dependable. and trustworthy. There is no excessive smoking. or oil burning.

                We still drive it almost daily. and will continue too until it has found a new home.

As one can tell from the pictures. the paint is not the best. It was repainted by MB in the early 90's (to remedy the clear coat peeling problem). apparently they never found a solution to it!

                For a family car it is fantastic. Plenty of room all around.  The fuel mileage is quite incredible.

When driving. (video soon to come) the engine has plenty of power. The transmission always pulls strong. In fact it has always shifted a tad firm. it has never gotten any better-or worse with all the miles we have racked up on it. There is a modulator adjustment there if one is interested.  The brakes are fantastic. it can stop quicker than expected.

The Benz is in much better mechanical shape than may appear. within the past 3 years we have replaced-or done the following:

New Starter. Tires. Battery. Misc. Service. Fast Style glow plugs & solenoid(a must for the older diesels!). ead light. brake pads. front wheel bearing repack. brake hoses. radiator hoses. Differential fluid changes. Oil cooler hoses. Fuel pump kit. injection pump gaskets. Rebuilt monark nozzle fuel injectors. Speed O Meter Cable. Valve cover gasket.

When the car was purchased. we put in new sheet metal on the floors. The car had rusted due to the windshield seals. It's by no means a perfectly seamless repair. but it works just fine. There is other minor rust (nothing serious).

 I've always been one to overlook the little things. With that said the car could use the following issues addressed:

Front. and Rear windshield seals

Miscellaneous bushings. and or rubber mounts (nothing is falling off-or hazardous. but a vibration can be felt in the car).

Passenger side window motor

The signal light switch works fine. but doesn't hold itself (common Mercedes trait)

Driver's seat mount stiffened (at least in the near future).

The sunroof was working perfectly. but died (closed thankfully) a wiring issue

Engine temp gauge. car doesn't over heat though

The gas gauge is “estimated”. another Mercedes trait

There is plenty of heat. but no fan to blow it….

On very cold days/ nights it likes to be plugged in to start better.

                There are a lot of little things that could use attention. Not one of them are extremely serious. or pressing. I've gotten a lot of enjoyment out of it. The quality of old Mercs is fantastic. This one is not in the best of shape. but it just keeps on going.

  I guess you could call it a driving project. you would be hard pressed to find a dependable diesel for less.   

   We have all of the factory manuals in PDF format.

(Refundable if the car is grossly miss described. or not nearly as stated){With that said. I do make mistakes. if there is a specific question on an area-please ask prior to bidding}  The remainder is to be paid in CASH in person. or by pay-pal(cash is always preferred) within one week of auction closing (unless other arrangements have been made). Once paid for-in full. the car should be picked up within one week from auction closing (with that I can be a bit flexible). The car can be driven.
