This vehicle featured in the Catherine Tate movie 'Mrs Ratcliffe's Revolution'. I have all of the paperwork to prove this including the importing information and request from Shepperton Studios to ship the car to the UK. I have copies of the DVD. some of the suitcases that were on the roof-rack in the film and the cigarette ends in the ashtray from the cigarettes Catherine smoked in the film. The car is not a UK version of the 408 but an original Russian version and was originally owned by a Hungarian Doctor. It has only done an incredible 6500 kms and has the original cross ply tyres on that were fitted in the factory. This car is  a very good investment and is in very good condition for its age. There are one or two scuffs and scrapes on the car but these were done during filming when the secret police were chasing the car in the film so it would be foolish to remove them as it would take away the cars authenticity. The car is mechanically sound. I have fitted news brake cylinders and had the shoes re-lined but like all Moskvich's the brakes are not up to modern standards although this is no problem as far as the MOT test is concerned for a car of this age. I have several eastern cars in my collection and am selling this one as I am not using it as much as I would like and am also building up my collection of classic motorbikes so I need some space. The car has been dry stored for many years and with only 6500kms on the clock is very slightly more than run in. I am not going to give the car away and believe my starting price is very reasonable given the cars condition. mileage and provenance. The car could most certainly be exhibited in a famous car museum or similar attraction.
