1983 VW Golf Mk1 Show Car 3 Door Hpi clear Smoothed engine bay carbs 6k miles

Selling my 1984 Mk 1 Golf which was re built approx 10 years ago. It is magazine featured, has won awards and we have both Magazines although it has been upgraded further since. It is a very well known car.It is a huge attention grabbed and your will receive waves and attention from all ages. I've actually caught people taking pictures of it when parked on the High Street.The shell was fully stripped and repainted in the same colour. The engine bay was smoothed and the battery and water bottle moved to the spare wheel well in the boot. The wiring has all been hidden so it looks great under the bonnet. It has had the heater delete mod with cover and a caravan heater added under the dash with a switch to help demist the screen. It has covered The flywheel has been lightened and the entire engine rebuilt with new cam. It is now a 1.8 with 5 speed gearbox. Pictures as evidence of build available. It has a modified manifolds and handmade alternator bracket. 150 bhp at the front wheel on the rolling road with no rev limiter.Expansion bottle delete with override switch in the car for additional cooling when needed.Fully bespoke stainless exhaust.It is running on 2*ZX 9 r bike carbs and starts of the choke every single time. The choke is needed for seconds and then you're off. The battery is new with screw connector.It has front and rear spoilers. The front is cut down for when you run show stance. The coil-overs have been upgraded to Highsports and work perfectly. We have just moved it to road high to clear speed bumps. It has a disk conversion on the rear and all brakes and pads are like new.The timing belt was replaced 2 years ago. It has been very well looked after and there is a huge file of receipts from the built and servicing. It has a service with the advisory free MOT a few months ago.Charcoal interior and clip of steering wheel.It has a chrome bolt kit.No power steering, no servo assisted brakes, no abs and no aircon. Modified brake res. The harder you press the harder you stop. You will get used to it.Chrome door catches and winders.Steel wheels with spacers to fit arches when lowered. Tyres are all like new. Single headlight grill conversion. Windscreen arms are not rusty. These things are now about £60 each now!Manual Solid sunroof.The body work is still really good with some minor bubbles on the front arch this year. The wings have rolled edges and this is where stone chips have happened over the last 9 years. Easy enough to sort.No rust or corrosion around the petrol filler neck. None smokers car.I sold this on ebay auction May 20 for 12 k and bought it back from the buyer a few months ago. It was then serviced and MOT'd and now back up for sale.
