1973 Triumph TR6 - RHD UK Car - Rust Free, Excellent Mechanics, 10 months MoT for sale

1973 Triumph TR 6
It's rare to come across a TR 6. or any other classic car. needing work that's actually much better than it looks. It's usually the other way round. This TR 6. however. is that exception to the rule – amazingly it has no rot. it runs and drives well. and it has 10 months Mo T and 3 months tax. It would make a very easy. satisfying winter project. or simply use it as is!
This TR 6 is a right-hand drive. UK-market car in its original colour of Pimento Red. It's the fuel injected CR version with 125 bhp. It has had 10 owners from new and service history/bills going back to 1981.
The paintwork is poor all over. the hood is tatty and the interior needs some work. However. and it's a big however. in the mid-80 s the car was subject to a professional bodyshell and chassis restoration for which we have the bills detailing the work performed. The chassis was shot-blasted. repaired where necessary and repainted. The body received new inner and outer sills. a new rear inner wing. boot lid and outer wings. Evidently the front panel has also been replaced relatively recently. The repair work was carried out by Classic Car Restoration and Repair and was done to a high standard.
As the photos show. the bodyshell and chassis are in superb condition and need no work.
We have driven this car around 300 miles over the last couple of days (country roads. motorway & city) and it has not missed a beat. The engine is strong. quiet and maintains good oil pressure. the gearbox and overdrive and axle are perfect. the brakes are great. as is the suspension.
Recently this TR has had a new full stainless steel exhaust system. new braided fuel injection lines. polyurethane trailing arms bushes. front pads. points & condenser etc. We have bills from TR specialists Enginuity for £1240 within the last 12 months.
There is 10 months Mo T and 3 months tax. You could drive this car as is but what it really needs is someone looking for an easy winter project. Essentially all it needs is stripping down. repainting. then putting back together with some new trim parts and a hood. It doesn't need any welding. it doesn't need mechanically rebuilding and you can drive it home.
