History This vehicle was initially purchased direct from Jaguar in Coventry by Mr W. Jones of Virginia and then shipped across the Atlantic in the steamer Saxonia. In the early 70's it came into the hands of the Burdo family of Connecticut. In 1991-92, Mr Burdo undertook an extensive restoration (receipts totally over $40,000 are available). Only 4000 miles have been added since the restoration. I purchased the vehicle in 2019 and moved it to Texas. Since purchase I have: Converted from positive to negative ground Upgraded generator to 70 A alternator Refurbished power steering box and pump by Vintage Jag in Indiana Upgraded front suspension with poly-urethane bushes and sealed ball joints Re-titled and registered in Texas The original air-conditioning system is available but not fitted. I would personally favor a modern system from someone like Retro Air but frankly the installation is beyond me. Anyway, my other classic needs some love so I must reluctantly sell this Jaguar.Condition Structurally and mechanically the vehicle is in excellent condition. The underside is clean and solid.
