1948 ALVIS TA14 DHC Carbodies - Original Matching Nos and Registration for sale

We are selling my father-in-law's much loved Alvis due to his very limited opportunities to maintain and use it because of age and mobility.
This car was extensively restored following its purchase by him, a Life Member of the Alvis Owner Club,
in October 1984
and has been based and garaged in the Scottish Borders since that date.
Over many years it has been used for touring both in the UK and overseas and in 1989 crossed the Arctic Circle in Sweden to view the midnight sun. It has participated in many car rallies and was an occasional winner of a concours prize. It was also the principal car for three ‘successful' family weddings, the latest in September 2020.
The mileage on the speedo reads 57400 which we believe is genuine and matches the MOTs for the current ownership. The chassis and engine nos are matching and the registration has its own value and is original to the vehicle.
The car is very attractive and usable and some minor work is required to bring it back to its former glory. It has been very well maintained, is mechanically in good condition (fully MOT'd every year to Sept. 2022 - the local garage verbal advisory this week was 'drive it more!') and with an asking price of very sensible offers around £20,000, gives the purchaser an opportunity for a sound and pleasurable investment.
