I have owned my Panther De Ville for many years, and I have spent a great deal of money in making her a perfect representative of the Panther marque.

Bearing the Chassis Number 2024 R this makes this car Number 7 out of only 58 produced, and this is what is called a Mk 1 De Ville, as the car has quarter lights in the front and rear windows, and a raised swage line in the front doors where the paint curve is

Later cars dropped the swage line as it was expensive to do, and dropped the quarter lights, again to save cost, which is ironic, as this was one of the most expensive cars in the world

As perhaps you can imagine, the De Ville creates a crowd wherever she goes. I have even seen people hanging out of their car windows to take photos. The colour combination is stunning and I can attest to the fact that it is the only De Ville in the world in these colours

As you will see from the listing below, over the years I have spent whatever was necessary to make this the finest one of its kind. Sadly, as with many of my classic cars that have been properly refurbished, the costs involved far outweigh the eventual asking price. Because of this very extensive restoration programme, you might NOT be surprised to know that I have driven the car for less than 200 miles during the last five years.

I am proud to say that at present I am Press Secretary of the Panther Car Club, and I have a number of Panther Cars, including a J 72, Lima, Rio, and others that have also benefitted from similar (if less comprehensive) restorations. I do hope you will agree that the De Ville is simply stunning as the paint work does not have a single mark on it and the interior's Cream Leather (piped blue) and Blue Carpets (piped cream) are flawless.

This is undoubtedly the finest Panther De Ville motor car in the world, and is w ell known, not only within the world-wide Panther Car Club but throughout the international Classic Car fraternity.

I have owned two De Villes, and quite recently sold the sister car to this one to the movie company making the new CRUELLA film. If you get the chance to view the movie, you will see my ‘other De Ville' features largely in the story. Since this picture was recently released, my remaining De Ville has been on television and featured in the BBC news. I have even had my ‘fifteen minutes of fame' being interviewed on radio discussing these wonderful cars. Much featured and photographed, if you Google ‘Panther De Ville' you will see this car, which I am now offering for sale is featured in many clips on the internet.

When first launched, these cars were enormously expensive (much more so that the equivalent Rolls-Royce automobiles) and were hand-built-to-order for the very rich and famous. Owners of Panther De Villes reads like a copy of ‘Who's Who' and include Elton John, Oliver Reed, Marty Robbins (American Country Singer and Racing Driver), Don Johnson, George Forman, The Shah of Iran, Johnny Halliday (The French Elvis) and many others.

Since completion, the car has been entered into 3 Classic Cars Shows, and was awarded ‘Car of the Show' on each occasion.

As part of the restoration programme I had the car stripped and repainted in Rolls Royce Peacock Blue and Ford Glacier White, which are very close to the original colours, and make the car look very beautiful indeed.

There is no other Panther De Ville in these colours

Built for the Chairman of Birds Custard, it was delivered from the prestigious premises of H R Owen in London and had the original registration number 1 EOV which stood for Essence of Vanilla. The car now bears the distinctive registered number 2 WXA, (which is not included as part of the sale, and the car will revert to a P registration), and has only covered 53000 miles in total from new. Always kept in a heated and dehumidified garage this very special motorcar also features the famous ‘Cluster of Amethyst' radiator mascot.

I have had the following work carried out professionally on the Deville and I will be happy to give interested parties access to the full, detailed costings on request. Suffice to say once again that the total cost of the vehicle to date far outstrips the asking price.

Work programme included, but was not restricted to:

The most extensive bare-metal repaint in Peacock Blue and Ford Glacier White

New Seats, Door Cards, Centre Consul etc. in Cream Leather Piped Blue.

New Carpets in Blue Piped Cream Leather, with matching Over Mats.

New Headlining in West of England Cloth.

Uprated Centre Consul.

Three New Replacement Aluminium Radiators.

Extensive Mechanical Work at world's leading Jaguar specialists David Marks in Nottingham.

Replacement gearbox, braking system overhaul, uprated suspension and much other work.

Additional Mechanical Work at Stoneleys Garage Mansfield.

5 New Stainless Steel Highly Polished Wire Wheels with New 235/70 R 15 White Wall Tyres.

New Battery.

New High-Torque Starter.

New Alternator.

New Fan Controller.

Various parts from Jaguar specialists SNG Barratt

New Electric Wing Mirrors.

In excess of £65 k has been spent on the refurbishment and the De Ville is of course free from any finance or other debt agreement. It is owned and registered in my name and I have a complete and extensive History File with all Paperwork, Bills, Photo record and many Awards which will all go with the De Ville.

Also, and this simply had to be done when the interior was changed, within the boot, and hidden on the upper inside, is the largest set of air horns you can get, which are switched on from a hidden switch within the glove box, when the switch is switched on, the theme tune to the godfather plays rather loud.... may not be everyone's cup of tea, but for me it puts a smile on my face

I would consider a Part Exchange in accordance with Ebay rules, but would have to be something very interesting or unique

The Car is Located in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom and delivery can be arranged by my special transport either within the United Kingdom or overseas.
