Morris Minor van. Ex GPO / British Telecom /Post Office for sale
Current customer rating:
Potential loss of storage brings this lovely little survivor of a Morris Minor van. Ex GPO / British Telecom /Post Office. Its been in this garage since my ownership when I bought it in March 2019. I haven't even started the van yet but will have it running and driving for demonstration to the possible new owner. The are bullet proof these little vans so I have every confidence in her.Owned from new by the Post Office and was based in Uxbridge West London until 1979 working for the "Post Office Telephones" . Various other history is within the portfolio with the van as offered by the "Post Office Vehicle Club" inclusive of service areas and correct livery fleet numbers etc.
As with all these vans, the engine sounds fine and is converted to unleaded with a "raspery" sound to the exhaust (if there is such a word??). Since owning the van, it has been locked away within my collection until today.
Previous history says the van was "well restored" some years ago and the van is still very solid and sound. Don't get me wrong, the doors shut with a
clunk
rather that a click but this is the charm of an ole moggie van. Come and have a look if interested as opinions may vary, we are in the RH 7 Lingfield Surrey area.
The little 6 cwt van is obviously now historic as stated in the V 5 c held
therefore
currently Mot exempt and the road fund licence (tax) is free. The van, once taxed and insured should drive anywhere but please be mindful that it has been in storage for a few years therefore I would recommend a
sympathetic
and loving service before heading off to shows etc. I do have a trusted courier who charges £1.25 a mile "one way" should you require the van transported.
Only on offer due to loss of storage so please also see my other items I may have listed. A lovely ole van and if it dosen't sell, I'll probably find a little corner for it somewhere. Thanks for looking, viewing welcome and good luck with your bids.
