1983 FORD MUSTANG with MERCEDES 500 SL BODY KIT

this is a complete fiberglass body kit which was built professionally. at a cost of $ 17. 00. 00 installed when new

its built on a 1983 ford mustang convertible. V-6 auto trans

it runs and drives. has current antique vehicle plates. I drove it a bit this past summer. but I need the garage space so I figured I let it go cheap for fast sale

this is being sold as a parts / project car and will need to be trailered to your location for liability purposes. once you get it home do with it what you want

THE GOOD:

starts runs and drives. decent brakes. quiet exhaust. all fiberglass body. spent most of its life in sunny texas. it has a clean undercarriage. no rotted floors or frame. steers straight. matching set of tires which are like new. no major leaks or drips. pretty clean all around. nice rims no scratches or curb rash

THE BAD: the convertible power top does not work. it has to be raised / lowered manually. the convertible top fabric is in good condition however some of the seams have pulled apart and will need to be stitched together (I keep it in the garage out of the weather). you could call this a sunny day car. THERE IS NO WINDSHIELD WIPER ASSEMBLY. it was never installed since the build. the paint has lots of cracks all over and some areas are peeling. no door speakers. power windows do go up and down but very slow. the windshield is cracked. and the oil pressure gauge sometimes does not work

there are some extra parts in the trunk. and comes with a complete new tan carpet set

THIS WOULD BE PERFECT FOR A V-8 CONVERSION

SELLING CHEAP. THIS IS A NEAT LITTLE HOBBY CAR

this car has great looks and is mechanically simple. no onboard computer or strange electrical items to go bad as do on the real SL 500 Mercedes. this will run forever

selling for 2500. 00 which is cheap. but don't expect a everyday driver here. consider it a novelty hobby car. perfect for local zipping around or a drive to the beach / lakefront

the odometer reads 22. 94 miles which I have no idea are original. I would think 122. 94. the title does not list any miles due to the age / antique vehicle

that about it. buy it before someone else does

I would recommend trailering this in a enclosed trailer or when the weather is clear
