For sale my 1988 Renault Alpine GTA V 6 Atmospherique, silver with black pinstripe velour and grey pinstripe headlining and door trim. Stored up previously for years this example was mechanically/chassis/rewiring etc recommissioned by a specialist at the end of 2020 and into 2021, bills totalling around £8000 present. New Gaz shocks and new Toyo Proxes all round too. After much work and fettling the car is on the button. I have no hesitation jumping in it and driving it anywhere, I just last month took it on a 600 mile round trip to a family do in Kent.Absolutely everything works, windows, dash, central locking. The car starts perfectly and ticks over nicely and drives tight and as you would expect. Fast, well balanced, loud and very very low. Amazingly comfortable - once you're in! Incredible ride quality too for a 33 year old classic sportscar.These Alpine Renaults are fabulous, my absolute favourite cars. Always exotic rare and exclusive even when new these beautiful cars are incredibly undervalued, though now with the awesome A 110 and the Alpine Renault F 1 Team success this year the name is really back and values are finally on the up. I am reluctantly parting with my Atmo as I have to make storage space and have recently taken on a barn find GTA Turbo. So, all in all a lovely useable example of this super rare rear engined French 80 s beauty with a lot of money spent and everything working which can be improved cosmetically as and when the new owner desires. I could never part with it if I did not already have another, they are beguiling cars. The Alpine turns more heads than my '74 Maserati used to. Never has any car I have owned caused such a stir or provoked more lovely compliments than this - let alone a car with a humble Renault badge!
