Is this the one you've been looking for! My lovely Spitfire is up for sale (probably - I keep changing my mind she's had more come backs than Elton John!) I have owned this car for 18 years, on the road for nearly all of them. OK here goes :- Wires are very good, new front tyres, overdrive gearbox, unleaded head, recent tune and rolling road came out as running the same figures as when she was new! (paperwork to prove it). Copper brake and fuel lines, motolita steering wheel, full width alloy radiator with silicon hoses, kenlow fan, alloy engine bay boards, stainless brake shields, twin stainless exhaust (sounds awesome, you can ask my neighbours as I take her to work on a sunny morning at 6.30), electronic ignition, green stuff brake pads, recently all four wings changed and all metal work underneath the wings either replaced or repaired, hood is great and has a hood cover also a tonnau, she is not a show car but a very reliable and usable fun classic that has no problem keeping up with (and often overtaking) modern traffic. Loads of space for camping gear, we have toured Scotland, Ireland and bits of France. Bad stuff :- body - door panel fit is not great, gearbox works well but the stick is a bit 'sloppy', electrics all work but have been patched, added to and parts replaced over the years.

Again, not a show car, come and have a look. Comes with a box of spares, some new, some old and some ugly, standard exhaust available if you'd like it. MOT & tax exempt and cheap classic insurance. Reserve is a ridiculously low 5 k. There is probably loads more good stuff that's been done that I cant remember - a large motor bike calls, hence the (reluctant) sale.
