Vehicle Details

This is an incredibly rare 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1, with the 428 cubic inch engine, the shaker hood, and the nodular rear end. For the right person, this is a once-in-a-lifetime find. If you've been looking, you already know how hard it is to find something like this with a clean title, a VIN tag, and a reasonably affordable price tag. They just don't exist any more. We are listing this car for a client, who brought this car to us after several bad experiences with other shops. It had been in various other shops for nearly two decades before it came to us, and the client was at his wit's end. Fortunately, despite a considerable amount of what we might call automotive malpractice, we were able to strip the car down, get all of the metal work done, and produce a full-metal shell for the client. There is literally no body filler on this car, and we have around 140 photographs documenting all the work done to the car. We also retained receipts, daily manifests of work done and the time sheets for work done. It is neither under-restored, nor over-restored. It is currently fully sealed, and sitting in correct red oxidized primer, with the exception of the hood. Once we had the car to this point, the client had invested a considerable amount of time into the car, and was, understandably, no longer at the same point in his life as when he first purchased the car. He is retiring, and no longer sees the car fitting into his long-term priorities and plans. Since it is at such a wonderful stage for someone to come along and finish to their own tastes, it made sense to list the car for sale and pass it along to a new home. All metal work has been done. The car is ready to scuff and paint, with the exception of the hood. We did not have a trim ring for the shaker hood, and could not properly mock it up. The engine is a date-correct, though not original to the car, 428 engine. The center chunk, included with the car, for the rear end is the correct nodular rear end, which is nearly impossible to find. There is parts sourcing left to be done, but all of the hard work has been done and the remainder of the work is paint and assembly. It is not a rolling chassis, just to be clear. It is currently in clean, dry storage, so the most current pictures are a little cluttered. It is a clean slate, to be finished in the colors you want, with precise knowledge of the car underneath, and documentation that can be passed on, if ever you should decide to part with the car. We will be happy to assist you (to a reasonable degree) in preparing the car for transport.
