This is another Classic Vehicle Project offered here in a Classified format, there is no 'bidding' as such and no option to 'Buy It Now', the listing will remain for its duration, and will not be 'taken down' unless the conditions of sale have been fully met.
Offered here is this Factory Built Grandin Dallas Convertible based on Peugeot 205 Running Gear.
This is a French Factory built Grandin RHD 2 Wheel Drive, owned by me since 2013 and which has been 'off the road' for some time and is offered here as shown in the images and described in text as an ongoing 'RESTORATION PROJECT' or for spares or repairs.
POTENTIAL BUYERS ARE ADVISED TO READ the description including all the PAYMENT & CONDITIONS OF SALE which follows fully and view the attached IMAGES carefully, WYSIWYG - if it is not shown or mentioned in the description, it is NOT included.
I believe some 5000 of these were produced by Grandin, rare in the UK but with a keen following overseas where they are used extensively in 'trials type' on/off road events.
Constructed on a galvanised steel chassis these feature the Peugeot 205 1.4 TU 3 S engine/running gear with front wheel drive. Further Peugeot components are used for switchgear etc etc. With a fibre glass tub, removable doors and windscreen total weight thought to be around 600 kg. The vehicle therefore has a significant power to weight ratio and are rapid performers on the road.
Images 1 to 5 inclusive show the vehicle as it arrived here a number of years ago, images 6 to 8 inclusive during some bodywork preparation and images 9 to 12 inclusive captured today
The bodywork was prepared for painting many years ago and is now in grey primer, it is still sound but clearly needs readying for paint again!
Lighting has been revised to accept standard Land Rover style side/tail/stop and indicators. The one piece fibreglass bonnet with front wings, is front hinged and can be removed completely for improved access.
Last had this running some while ago but no reason to suspect it would'nt fire up with a little preparation and fuel.
There are other parts included but not shown in the images eg rear wheel arch extensions, dash clocks, rear tailgate, roll bar hoop etc etc.
This vehicle is some 32 years old and will require a thorough recommissioning with some remedial work likely to be needed, however used Peugeot parts are plentiful so sourcing mechanical components should not present an issue.
Once completed this will make a very rare sight on UK roads and is bound to be a conversation piece.

This is clearly not currently a nicely painted or prepared car, however it could come together quite quickly into a rare and quirky, economical to run utility convertible. This project can be collected or delivered (see ‘free delivery' conditions) at a mutually convenient time by arrangement.
