Volkswagen T2 Bay window panel van 1600 Air cooled day van camper

for sale is my 1972 K plate VW panel Van bought and restored by me in 2018.

Its 48 years old, first registered in Cheshire in 1972 to an electrical wholesalers, they bought it new for £885 and it was Neptune blue. It was originally fitted with a 2Ltr Petrol engine long since passed.

Needless to say its the history of the reg plate and VIN plate more than the van, she is road tax exempt and MOT exempt.

Cab: Complete restoration in my own way, dash lights work, engine light and oil light work. We have front fogs, blue cab lighting,  bass control for the sound system. Fitted Pioneer head unit. working oil pressure gauge, working fuel gauge ( Questionable )  speedo in working order.

Two front seats are professionally restored with matching trim to the rear cab. Door cards and front kick plate are custom made and very bespoke allowing for the six mid range Vibe speakers to be mounted.

Floor carpet, glove box, chrome trims. Some nice details like the original tyre pressure stickers and gear range stickers are still in place,

Running gear: The van is lowered on 14" BRM alloys with centre 3 spoke caps and four tyres fitted in December. Exhaust was fitted with the new engine in September 2020 and it is the AS21 with the twin pressure relief valve totally rebuilt by the engine shop. Single carb, twin port with mechanical points, totally sealed no leaks from this one. Run in and serviced since fitting. All paper work in place and receipts to show work completed.

Underneath is fairly rust free but will benefit from a good wax oil. The main structure is in good condition and providing its not homed out side will last for many more years to come.

Rear: Newley trimmed full width rock and roll bed, 12v leisure battery fitted with fused system in place with power outlet for 12v usb charging and standard cig plug in the main cab and in the boot space.

We have some storage and a cooking unit with a calor gar bottle and twin ring cooker, all in working condition.

The whole of the back is sound proofed, insulated with MDF headlining complete with white and blue LED lighting

Drives really well, truly stunning little day van that gets attention where ever she goes, people always taking pictures and asking for a nosey around, she looks cool, sounds great and it will be heart breaking watching her drive away with a new owner.
