1963 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon New tires

This is not an $80. 00 fully restored split window bus. Nor is it a $40. 00 bus. This is a running. driving. split window. rolling piece of art with a starting bid of $8. 00. Keep in mind. there have been non-running split window busses with trees growing through them sold at this price. Happy Bidding!

You are bidding on a rolling piece of art. A 1963 VW bus with a collaboration of paint most recently added to by Derek Stevens. the touring manager of the famous "FURTHUR BUS". This bus still has lots of space left for more artwork to be added. and it is ready to go to the next festival. It fires right up and drives great. It does have it's share of rust issues. as they all do at this age. but it runs great and stops great. and it's a rolling piece of art! Or it could be a great candidate for restoration.  We are not quite sure of it's history. but it may have been a day camper at one time as it has the crank-out side windows on the driver side of the vehicle.
The rust issues:-The front floor was rusted out. The rust was treated with a rust inhibitor. the floor was patched with sheet metal (not factory replacement) and sealed and painted. -The passenger side rocker panel is rotted out. The driver side rocker panel is present. but looks to have some body filler over it. It will need attention if you wish to do a full restoration.  -In the cargo area. the inside corners behind the front seats are rotted out. Below those same areas. the outriggers are rotting out. Pretty typical for these busses. But the frame looks solid. -the battery tray has some holes. but it's not as destroyed as they typically are. -the rear lower corners appear to be covered in body filler.  -the lower nose and lower part of the front doors look to be hiding some rust. They don't appear to be completely rotted out. but will definitely need attention if you plan to do a full restoration.  
-The mirrors are mis-matched. and the driver mirror has no reflection.  
-There are no wipers and the wiper motor has not been confirmed to work or not.
-seats: front seats are uncovered frames and springs currently with burlap loosely laying over them. Rear seats are non-volkswagen passenger bus seats that are not bolted down. but they are ready for you to bolt them down where you like or toss them out. Your choice!
-odometer mileage is likely not accurate.
-Tires have zero miles.  -new Brakes includes new shoes. cyclinders. master cylinder. flex lines. bearings. and drums turned. -Motor fires right up. We believe it to be a 1300cc. but have not verified as the engine code is hard to read. It does have single port cylinder heads.
-SHIPPING:Vehicle is located in Central Oregon. Shipping is responsibility of the winning bidder. Delivery may be provided by seller to neighboring states for a fee to be calculated when negotiated by seller and buyer.
-DEPOSIT TERMS:winning bidder must make a $1. 00 deposit within 48 hours of close of auction via PayPal to oroundeye@gmail. com or winning bidder will forfeit auction.  
-PAYMENT OF BALANCE TERMS: Remaining balance is to be paid within 7 days of close of auction in cash in person upon pickup of vehicle by the buyer. If vehicle is to be shipped. seller will require balance to be paid in full by wire transfer to seller's personal account.  If it is determined that seller is to deliver vehicle for an additional agreed upon amount. buyer may pay half the balance (including delivery fee) to the account of seller's choosing within 7 days of close of auction. and buyer will then pay remaining balance in cash at time of delivery.
