This is what has become know as a survivor car, an original RHD and remarkably rust free 1959, 3 owner car taken out to France about 40 years ago and spent a lazy life there in very dry conditions being loved and polished. The owner at this point just did what he had to do to keep the old girl on the the road until he passed away. When his widow decided to sell his beloved TR I heard about the car and bought it through a dealer in Yorkshire part exchanging it for an E type that I just did not like. That was 4 years ago. As my wife now reminds me I have never kept a classic car as long as this one.

And probably a whole lot more. So now she not only has a patina to die for, a good provenance but is also a reliable drive. We have just returned from an almost 1000 mile trip round France where the only issue we had was a flat battery one day as a wire had come loose on the dynamo.

This is not a bright shiny restored car. It is an honest old girl that on the surface is showing her age but underneath is reliable, fun, in great order and good to go.
