Jensen interceptor Mk III

Jensen Interceptor OBP 2 M - chassis number 136/8940

Orginally in White and then Burgundy before stripdown.

History:

Originally purchased as a demonstrator car for Malaya Garage in Cowfold, West Sussex.

Extensive history documentation present including DVLA information on former owners,

commisioning documentation, original warranty claims, early service history.

Bodywork:

A complete body restoration by Jensen expert Colin Holley, in primer,

currently rolling and stored in dry workshop in East Sussex.

New inner and outer sills

New floors

New door bottoms

New door hinge pins fitted

New Rear quarters

New Front Valance

New Rear Valance

New front wing halves

Tailgate mount repairs

Original tailgate (was in excellent condition)

Repaired fuel bowl

New front wing splash mounts

Engine:

Fully dismantled following inspection ready for rebuild

Block hot tanked, rebored +030, painted black

New +030 pistons & rings and various rebuild parts bought

Crank polished and balanced along with entire rotating assembly (pistons, conrods etc.)

Complete bigger bore stainless exhaust

Edelbrock carb (plus orginal Thermo Quad carb)

Edelbrock performer manifold (plus original iron one)

Original iron heads were cleaned and pressure tested but both found to have cracks

Carter Electric fuel pump

Radiator recored with modern core 3000 miles ago

Gearbox & Torque Converter:

Rebuilt by Cannonball 6000 miles ago

Brakes:

New master cylinder

All calipers fully reconditioned

Front discs replaced by previous owner

Steering:

Re-installed temporarily for vehicle manoeuvrability for sale.

Steering Rack replaced with refurb rack 3000 miles ago by previous owner

Steering column restored

Front suspension:

Re-installed temporarily for vehicle manoeuvrability for sale.

Many parts were replaced by previous owner

e.g. polybushes, shocks, wheel studs

Rear Suspension:

Re-installed temporarily for vehicle manoeuvrability for sale.

Coil over conversion

Repainted differential

Restored leaf springs

Aircon:

All present, and mechanically worked when removed but needed new hoses and separator amongst other parts

Wheels and Tyres:

No big scuffs on wheels, just normal reconditioning needed

Tyres very good but aged, but probably requires new

Trim:

All glass is good

Chrome window surrounds etc are good

Original front bumper

Two rear bumpers (one bought to be rechromed as far better condition than the original)

Brand new stainless side trims (still in packaging)

Interior:

Black leather interior, in good serviceable condition

New foam seat bases fitted a few years ago

Original carpet in the boxes, but I would replace them when putting it back together

All instruments in good condition

Heater box + blower plus various other parts restored
