Advertising on behalf of a client. The E 9 has recently come out of a period of hibernation has undergone some detailing with us and assessment and the owner has asked us to find the car a new home as he just doesn't use it and needs the space
The car has been previously restored around 11 years ago. There isn't much in the way of history with the car in terms of photographic and documentation. However there's clear evidence just looking at the car that extensive work has been carried out over the years.
The quality of the restoration would be described as Average to Good. Can see more effort was made on the engine and running gear, interior is very good but level of finish on the bodywork is not outstanding hence it lets it down a little.
The engine was removed and had extensive work carried out and many new parts fitted which are clearly evident, full stainless steel exhaust system. Callipers and suspension all appears to have been replaced as are brake hoses cooling hoses and many more. The transmission was rebuilt more recently although does have a slight tleak probably seal related so will need addressing.
The car drives absolutely beautiful silky smooth through the gears. Steering is accurate and responsive as are the brakes.
The car has 8 former keepers showing 24,000 miles but nothing in the way of history to verify the mileage to being genuine so best to assume it may be more likely 124,000
The car is very presentable. Useable showable condition with some minor imperfections in places and has room for improvement. Would display well on a classic car show but not a competition standard car
