bmw isetta motocoupe bubble window 4 wheeler, rare bubblecar for sale
Current customer rating:
unfortunatly selling. as i need to raise funds for a house move. so it simply has to go. its a great city car. with good fuel consumption. and good for zipping through the traffic. the previous owner bought the car when living in germany. and took it back when returning to scotland.
it is the standard german model. and is an original very sought after 4 wheeler. with the original bubble shape and 1956. so a very early mot and tax free car. nd much more attractive to look at than the later sliding window version. the car is completely drivable. and is currently on the road. it gets a run out most dry weekends. there is a small crack in the rear window. but a brand new screen and rubber seal is included in the sale. this was bought from the german isetta club. it is a genuine part with the correct markings. the car has a reconditioned 300 cc engine and gearbox fitted. the engine is almost run in. and the gearbox is excellant. the original 250 cc engine is encluded for a spare. or to return the car back to original. f so desired. there are scratches in the front windscreen. but a good replacement is included in the sale. the heater heat exchanger is very good . nd will last a long time. the petrol tank is quite new. so no problems with dirt blocking the jets. the carburetor has the rare accelerator pump devise fitted. this helps the performance considerably. the floor. parcel shelf and fire wall are still the original and still solid. apparently the germans dont use so much salt on the roads. as the british do. this has helped to preserve the cars body. the body however does need some work done to it. the front wings. and an area just above the engine hatch are rusted. also the door is dented. and has small rust holes here and there. the outer door bottom has holes. but not to bad.
and the inner door bottom is still good. the car would definatley benifit from a respray . especialy if taking to classic car shows. the front suspension. steering and brakes have all been overhauled in the past . and are still good. extra under floor pans have been installed. to prevent rust. also the rear wheels have complete wheel arches fitted. and are a great extra as they prevent water and dirt etc spraying up over the engine . earbox. chain drive and petrol tank etc. the arches are easily removed to return the car back to original. new interior cards . and number plates are included the car has all the german paperwork . nd also the british v 5 .
to sum it up. its a rare early lhd 4 wheel bubble window model. in good running order. but needs a bit of tlc in the bodywork department. the car can be seen at any time
. bank transfer payment prefered when car is seen and approved.
