1957 Porsche 356 for sale
Current customer rating:
This is a very nice. and especially fun replica 1957 Porsche Speedster. built by Classic Motor Carriage (CMC). in the mid 1980 s. IT IS TITLED AS A 1957 PORSCHE SPEEDSTER. This Texas car was built on a completely rust free 1974 VW chassis. and utilizes a 1600 cc motor. The car has approximately 6. 00 miles from new. and remains in very good condition. The undercarriage of the car is beautiful. and looks new (these cars don't tend to see any weather conditions!). Mechanically. the car has been gone through. and is well sorted. including:
*Brand new starter*New brakes*New Shocks*New CV axle boots*Newer battery*Newer tires*Newer modern Pioneer CD stereo with aux & bluetooth capabilities and Infinity speakers - sounds good!
The car runs and drives well. It could possibly use a carb adjusment for optimum performance (if there is such a thing on a VW 1600 :). as I feel like there could be a tad more power available.
It always fires right up. even after sitting for extended periods. and idles quite nicely. Like all of these. it is a little cold blooded for the first couple minutes of driving. There are some squeaks and creaks. when going over bumps. that one would associate with a build of this vintage and quality. but nothing major. Also. as can be seen in the image. the oil temperature gauge is cracked. and should be replaced for accurate temp readings. The car has always run cool though. The heat levers are also not connected. but that obviously isn't typically a priority with one of these cars.
It comes with complete and functional top. side curtains and tonneau cover (all black).
This is not a "perfect" Vintage speedster. but is one that you can truly enjoy with pride. and without having to worry about driving. cuising. or even parking at the local store. There are some small imperfections in the paint. etc that are consistent with the age and miles of the car. The drivers door may need a slight adjustment to be perfectly flush. If you're looking for a perfect car. go spend half a million dollars on the real deal. If you are looking for a car that consistently gets thumbs up. and smiles from everyone. at a fair price. then this might be the car for you. If you don't like lots of questions. conversations. smiles & waves. EVERY TIME YOU DRIVE IT. then you may be better off with something a little more ordinary!
I
encourage all potential buyers to come inspect the car in person
prior
to buying or bidding. Your bid is a binding contract. Feel free to call me
with any questions or for more information. Car condition is subjective. I
have owned over 100 Porsches. and am picky about my cars. but potential
owners should decide for themselves if this car is for them. Car is sold AS
IS. WHERE IS. Transportation is the responsibility of the buyer.
International bidders are welcome. but please have U. S. funds and transportation
arranged prior to auctions end. Zero or negative feedback bidders please
contact me prior to bidding or your bid may be cancelled. Please only bid or
offer if you are serious. Finally. feel free to email or call me at
with any questions. more details. or if you'd like to make an
offer. Good luck!
