A previous owner did have it painted and actually used a slightly darker paint as one of the pics shows.
It is great for daily driving although I only take it out about once every couple months just to keep everything lubricated. I can't bring myself to drive it regularly as it has been garage kept so well for 52 years and I do not have time for car shows. This make and model and same color was actually my first vehicle when I turned 16.
I've owned this one over 2 years now.
This is great for car shows as I have yet to ask auto enthusiasts if they have ever heard of a Meteor and found none that have. The milage is rare for a 52 year old car plus the fact that it was only sold in the US for 2 years and manufactured for only 3 years.

Hi, Do U still have the car? And do u know if the engine is a 221 and/or do U have any pics of the engine. I to had one of these in the 70's. And I loved that it was a 4 door. :)
