1935 HUDSON DELUXE EIGHT SUBURBAN SEDAN

HISTORY

The Hu              The Hudson Motor Car Company was known for producing durable. well engineered but conservatively styled automobiles. By the late 1920's Hudson was producing powerful six cylinder cars. In 1930 Hudson switched over to eight cylinder power. The 1930 Hudson Greater Eight displaced only 213. 8 cubic inches and only 80 horsepower. The Hudson Motor Car Company made many annual changes to the product. By 1935 the eight cylinder engine had grown to 254 cubic inches and 113 Horsepower. The Hudson Company went all out with promotional programs this year. Record smashing speed runs were staged at Daytona Beach and Muroc dry Lake.

The 1935 Hudson Deluxe Eight Suburban Sedan featured in this auction lived its life as a car in Nebraska. It was purchased by the current owner around 1970. It is equipped with a Radio and Heater. Dual horns. aftermarket directional signals. a single sidemount spare and new Goodyear Diamond Tread wide whitewall tires. The car was treated to new Paint and Chrome in the early 1970's. The work was really done nicely for the time and has stood up well. The car has always been stored indoors and is very nice. The car still shows well. The current mileage is 60819. I believe this to be the correct original mileage. I am selling it for this longtime owner.

              CONDITION

This car is very nicely preserved. It has always been a nice car! The car has been lovingly maintained with no expense spared. It starts right up. runs. drives and stops well. I drove it home about 40 miles last week. The engine is quiet. makes good power and the gearboxes are quiet. Everything on the car is operational except the Radio. This car has an interior that was restored some years ago in the correct material. The windshield opens to allow the flow of fresh air and all of other windows work nicely as well. The interior Chrome and dash panels are very nice. The interior woodgraining was recently restored and looks great. The exterior chrome is very nice. It was rechromed during the restoration process. The car was repainted at the same time and still shows well. All of the lights and Gauges work.  The battery is also fresh. Included with the car are an original Owners Manual and 1935 Hudson Shop Service Manual. There are a few extra parts for this car loaded in the trunk.
