This is a very rare Hotchkiss Anjou. It was originally a saloon built in france and first registered january the 1st 1952. As with all French premium brands they were only available in right hand drive. This one is the 1350 model with a 4 cylinder engine of 2. 3 litres.
I bought this car from a guy in the french alps. He had 2. the truck and a saloon I bought both but the saloon was very very rough and has now been broken for spares. I have no history of when or why it was converted but it was being used as a pick up to carry logs. Since I brought it over I have rebuilt the brakes fitted 4 new tyres and mot'ed it. I had the front seats re-upholstered and the door cards done all in vinyl so it looks quite tidy inside now. It was at this point I decided it would be best to finish the pick up conversion properly and had the rear bulkhead built so it now has more room in the cab. The crane is a harvey frost and does work although it is more for show. The engine starts first time everytime it does take a while to build the oil pressure up but I have been told this is nothing to worry about. It drives very well and not like a 60 year old car the suspension is very smooth as you would expect from a quality coachbuilt car
It does however need work to make perfect The bodywork is very solid but does have some dents and poor paintwork. There is also some rot in the wooden frames of the doors and the A pillars. There are a spare pair of doors that could be used to make patterns of the wood work.
Sold with a spare rolling chassis and some other spares. Serious enquires only please on 07711982752 Better pictures will be added later this week
