I purchased my 1953 24V M201 in Sept 2008 with the view to using it for light off-roading. However after one initial outing. it was parked up until early 2012 whilst it was slowly restored. A process that involved replacing most of the body (bonnet. windscreen. left and right tub panels. rear tub panel. near side wing. new headlights. new rear lights. new fuel tank. new top hat sections. new locker box lids). new windscreen rubber. new seat pads. new brake cylinders. new brake pads. new prop UJs. new HT leads. new plugs. new windscreen glass. new windscreen wipers. nbsp;new exhaust. new Optima yellow top batteries plus a load of bits I've forgotten about. nbsp;along with all the usual serviceable items. Have some photo's of work being done. Basically everything was done to make the M201 run sweetly and look good! I've also rewired the M201 with modern wiring (everything is now fused). fitted indicators where the front blackout lights would be and converted the rear lights to indicators/brake lights. Please note that no work was required on the engine. drive train or axles. I estimate that M201 had only done around 4000KM since the French Army rebuilt it.   Current odometer reading is 5324KM. I am the second owner. the first owner imported the M201 with intention of selling it on.

Since the 2012 I've done around a 1000 KMs and only had two issues. The June 2013 MOT'd got an advisory saying the steering pivot joint had play. resolved by replacing the joint and the 4 steering ball joints. In July 2013 the starter motor died. resolved by having the starter totally rebuilt (including the armature being rewound) by a local specialist.

M201 comes with Worthing canvas top. side screens. windscreen cover and French Army release paperwork.  Please note I've never fitted the side screens and so the fitting studs required to hold the panels in place have not been fitted to the tub. I'm also including a back seat frame. a genuine rollbar plus a small box of spares.

The only negative thing I can think of is the headlight are a bit dim. I suspect this is due to the fact that I've used 24V lorry bulbs.

M201 starts pretty easily and drives well in both 2 and 4 wheel drive.  Viewing highly recommended.

Any questions. nbsp;please do not hesitate to contact me.   M201 will be sold as seen.   Depending on distance can deliver - have a trailer.

Finally why am I selling. nbsp;briefly I feel the M201 is to good to risk damaging whilst offroading and so I've decided to build a new vehicle that more suited to my needs.
