Finished in a Polo Red Exterior and a Black Leatherette Interior. this 912 Targa is simply great! This Porsche has been very well maintained. recently serviced. and with only 100. 87 (TMU) miles. it is in immaculate condition! This 912 Targa underwent a complete meticulous restoration procedure. No rust. bondo or filler could be found on the body. after it was stripped down to the bare metal. Windows. doors. bumpers. hood and deck lid were removed during the high quality paint process. Upon reassembly new rubbers were installed. The engine tin was also reconditioned and cad plated. The original brake calipers also went through a reconditioning process and were given a cad treatment as well. The factory rain guard can still be found in the engine compartment. Original 67 air cleaners were mounted on to webber carburetors. The seat rails were removed and refurbished. The interior light. trunk light and even the 2 engine compartment license plate lights are still currently in working order. The targa top texture is also accurate and matches the vinyl gauges and gauge faces. that were refinished by Hollywood Speedometer. The 5 wheels have been powder coated and feature the original pans. Only the battery tray has been replaced due to minor rust from the battery acid. The rubber floor mats and carpet are also original. The 912 featured the aerodynamics. ergonomics. style and quality of a 911. yet weighed as much as 350 pounds less. This gave the 912 a front to rear weight distribution advantage over 911. The combination of fuel efficiency. low weight and low drag translated into a vehicle that could cruise the highways and get 30 mpg. This car also won Car and Drive's 1967 "Readers Choice" poll for its class. The 912 even has racing history. as its nimble handling combined with high reliability helped it win the European Rally Championship in 1967.
