Original owner purchased in Germany. and HAD to bring it with him when he transferred to Florida. so finding another just like it will be difficult. I happened to see the outline of it under a tarp in a friend's garage. and knew exactly what it was. The first aid kit and extinguisher are unused and in German. There's even a West Berlin radio map attached inside glove box! - Imagine the political history THIS car has driven through. ( Different features include Teal color. power driver seat. extra chrome. rear air adjusted suspension. chrome European license plate back on front bumper. and more. Yes. this car was built for. and actually driven on the Autobahn! We're moving to Mexico. our baby needs a new home. Issues? very few. runs perfect. Every once in a while has screeching sound when started (we've been told to leave it. a flywheel issue that isn't hurting anything). power driver seat has a short. Power antena. windows. work perfect. Wherever we go people do a double take and want to chat - even with all the 450 sl's out there. this one really gets attention - perhaps the unique color and European chrome options? It really is a very pretty car. right down to the wiper blades on the headlights. Also included is the hard top. and the soft top is in very good shape (not perfect. a couple small patches). As for exterior. it's all original so there are some scratches and a quarter size paint blister. I guess we always felt this was part of the charm and character of the car. Wouldn't take all that much to mint it out if that's what someone wants. This car has been stored all winter since birth.
