Hello and welcome to this auction. he auction is for rare Austin Mini Sprite 1983. This sprite special edition mini is one of only 2500 ever made . they were supplied in only red or yellow with the 1100 alloy wheels. pecial herring bone interior upholstery and the unique Sprite side decals. A POO was supplied new in december 1983 and as a second car had very light use and although he had three owners in the same family he has still only covered 48. 00 miles from new . and has virtually been unused and left in dry storeage for most of the last twenty years . The car has survived very well indeed and after a very light restoration is now back to as new condition. The special herringbone seats . arpets . eadlining are all in original condition with no signs of misuse or any wear and tear they are all unfaded with no sun damage due to carefull ownership and the car always being garaged when not in use . A new rear subframe has been fitted along with the brakes and brake master cylinder. The body still has all the original panels. oors . ings and A panels . The only panel that needed replacing was the rear valance even the boot floor. attery box and inner sills still shine in the original factory paint . The minor stone chips and blemishes to the car were trated and then the body was resprayed to a very high standard withgreat care to retain the genuine sprite side decals The special alloy wheels were refurbished and a set of brand new tyres were fitted. ew front and rear shock absorbers were aiso added. The engine is carefully detailed in the correct colour and the correct factory stickers on the rocker cover A POO now looks and drives just as he did on the day he left the Longbridge factory thirty years ago a real time warp example of this iconic car .
