The 1937 Jaguar SS 100 was the first Jaguar to reach 100 mph and to display the leaping Jaguar hood ornament. Of the 3 or 4 of the original 117 produced by Suffolk Motors. England. one sold for in excess of One Million Dollars this year.
A replica recently sold at auction for over $100. 00 and resold quite shortly for over $300. 00.
This is the only replica or reproduction in the U. S. embodying the 'teardrop' paint pattern as seen on the 1937 Dusenburg and the 1939 Bugatti. This is the car that came to be known as "The Duke". Beware: Every homecoming queen. parade marshall. news anchor and Santa Claus will want to ride in parades with you! Specifications are: Chromed w/ large caged head lamps. fog light and three horns. the rear lights are bezel-set like jewels in chrome. Five (5) Powder-Coated chrome spoke wheels. the spare being rear mounted and covered in black fabric with red piping. Interior is red leather with red carpeting.
Two seater roadster with correct right-hand drive and rumble seat. Gas tank is rear mounted covered in padded black leatherette.
All metal fully louvered hood has D riings for attaching leather hood straps (2) should you choose.
Glass windscreen louvers up and down and auto features driver and passenger "eyeglass lense" shaped individual glass windscreens.
Seat belts installed for passenger and driver safety.
English Walnut dashboard with correct six dial instrument panel and stick shift knob.
