Bodywork & Exterior
Fully restored body and underbody in Austin Healey Primrose. Work carried out by Austin Healey specialist includes round rear wheel arch conversion. The car has all steel tub / chassis with GRP bonnet. GRP boot lid and GRP doors. Boot partition has been replaced with welded in steel section.
Fitted with unlined hardtop. New soft top and frame included. Please note that the hardtop has some minor scuffs to the top surface. but nothing serious.

Under the Bonnet
1098cc engine originally rebuilt for Sheridan Thynne when he was at Williams Engineering. This included lightening and balancing. Head ported more recently. The engine has had very little use since the rebuild many years ago. and has excellent oil pressure. and starts and revs eagerly.
Currently fitted with a Weber 40DCOE (K & N Filter will be fitted next week). but I can supply excellent twin 1. 25 SUs as an alternative.

I also have a very good 1293 engine available at extra cost to the buyer of this car if required. This isn't for sale separately at present.

AH Fabrications alloy catch tank and electric fan. The metal blade fan is currently not fitted but will be supplied with the car.
New radiator
Spin on oil filter conversion
New wiring loom with negative earth and new alternator. New distributor and cap with built in electronic ignition.
Standard ribbed gearbox in very good order with slick gearshift.

Inside the cockpit
New electronic rev counter and temperature gauge. Original rev counter and fuel gauge supplied.
New Motilita steering wheel.
Bolt in Safety Devices rear roll cage.
New Sparco race seat which will take a full harness if required. There are two four point harnesses and mounting eyes with the car so a passenger seat could easily be fitted if required.

Underneath
4. 2 Diff. Fully rebuilt front and rear suspension with polybushes and lowering blocks at rear.
RC40 Exhaust back box (new this year).
Minilite style Wheels with almost unused tyres.
New 3 Gallon alloy fuel tank and new electronic fuel pump.
All new brake system. including front callipers. slave cylinders. pipe and hose etc.

Large amount of bills / history. £3400 from 2011 to 2013 on parts alone (excluding body restoration)

MOT until Feb 19th 2014 and taxed. I will happily MOT it if required. The car is registered as historic.

The car has not been cut about or heavily modified. It would form a great basis for a Group C car in the Midget Challenge. or with some carpets and interior trim a car to give you a massive grin factor on the way to the pub. and not have to worry about hidden problems. I have used the Sprite in the Classic Hillclimb / Paul Matty series this year which I thoroughly recommend. It is a handicap class and everyone has a chance to win. I can help with simple modification ideas that would make this great little car go even faster at little expense.
