1963 Land Rover Defender

1963 Land Rover Series 2 a pre Defender Station Wagon.

Full Disclosure:
1963 Land Rover Series 2 a pre Defender 69. 40 miles 12 seater Safari roof with passengers vents (rare)All new deluxe seats in front Rear passenger seats are original in good shape with few tiny holes Rear bench seats in good shape no holes or tear Headliner complete with aftermarket radio above 2 small dime size holes located in the rear. overall good looking headliner. Rear floor in good shape with no rotting. New mat installed. Rear passenger flooring has a few rotting areas located on corners Front floors are in good shape no holes. new floor mats All doors are original and seem to be in good shape. Doors seals are present and decent condition. rear door will need to be replaced. I have the seals for the window vents. Door cards are new in some areas I just ordered 2 new window tops with new glass already installed into them. currently both window tops on the truck have a small quarter size dent in them.

Dash is in working order Front lights. turns signals. stop lights. gas gauge work!Aftermarket gauges working. Heater is present. not sure if working. Vehicle starts by the turn of key and push button Carb is currently being rebuild by local shop. Engine 2. 25 gas. Runs strong no lag. 4 speed transmisson shifts fine with an occasional double clutching in 2 nd. (all series 2 a non syco transmission require it) high and low work very well. 4 x 4 engages as well. Engine bay is clean. Bulkhead in good shape with no apparent rotting or rusting. Brakes have been replaced. Stops very well.
Tires are new! 265/70/r 16 ATDefender wolf wheels are new No locking hubs Driveline is all original. hasn't been touched. no funny noise when driven. HD rear 1 ton diff Chassis is in good as well. Rear crossmember has some flaking rust areas. I can send pics.
The exterior is an 8 of 10!Very classy look to this vintage truck. No major or minor visible dents (other than upper top windows I'm replacing)Body is very straight Doors shut flush All galvanized piping in good shape. oof rack. ladder and spare tire included into sale New 9 k working winch New snorkel.

THIS IS NOT A FULL RESTORATION. ROTISSERIE. FRAME OFF. If you are looking for a truck in mint condition. there are many 109 s on ebay for $25 k plus. This is an “as is” with no warranty. Please feel free to have vehicle inspected before purchase. Clean title in hand with bill of sale. plenty of parts in 3 boxes. repair manual.

Overall vehicle is clean. running and ready for adventure. Great chance to own a very cool looking beautiful vintage 5 door station wagon pre Defender…These are so much cooler looking any way.
