1983 Mk 1 Golf 1. 8 G 60 in Lhasa Green (originally a 1. 8 GTI Campaign Model)
MOT 10 months. TAX 4 months
Body/Chassis Super reliable Mk 1 Golf with every electrical and mechanical part working as it should. Rust free solid shell – recently had a full inside and out respray. new side trim. side and hatch decals. wax oiled and under sealed. The body has all round polyurethane bushes – wishbones. anti-roll bars and suspension bushes. Eibach uprated anti roll bars all round.

Welded smoothed rear hatch and relocated battery.

Fitted with weitec fully adjustable Coilovers. Wheels –16” Lenso Mesh with 195/40 tyres.

Engine/Running Gear Engine conversion in 2006 with an engine from a Golf Rallye. engine covered 116. 67 when fitted. In 2009 the engine was rebuilt with new piston rings. vw oil pump. head gasket set. baffle sump. genuine baffle tray. head overhaul – new valve guides. port matched inlet and throttle body and TSR 272/268 cam.

Supercharger is in great shape. doesn't leak or make any odd noises and gives 1 bar boost at 6 k rpm. I've always sprayed the charger with Wurth PTFE every 500 miles as I've removed the boost return. CHC 020 gearbox with long fifth gear. oil changed with red line racing and CG road racing clutch (1000 miles on clutch). Running large transporter intercooler with 2. 5” piping. Fitted SWG air Induction twin green cone. New SS 4-2-1 exhaust manifold with new 2. 5” Supersprint SS exhaust system.

In 2006 the car was RR at 185 bhp. before engine rebuild and intake setup and FM intercooler. I've not had one done ever since. Uprated Gwerks front engine mount. diesel rear mount.

Engine has always been serviced with genuine VW parts. Recently serviced with timing belt. charger belt. plugs. HT leads. rotor arm. distributor. oil and oil filter. rear wheel bearings and pagid pads.

Interior Very much standard interior with usual campaign extra
History Stacks of pervious history. Single key opens all. Here's a list of a few new parts installed:-Large servo. 22. 2 mm Master Cylinder.
