Lovingly restored 1943 Ford Amphibious Jeep. purchased in 1996 from a farm in Queensland. Australia.
Restored as a project over a 15 year period from the ground up. with an effort to maintain all original parts
(where possible) and the look and feel of an active duty second world war sea going Jeep.

During the restoration the original hull has been fully restored to new condition and is completely water
tight. All bearings have been completely replaced. as has the axles and the brakes. The engine. gear box.
exhaust and transfer case. has been completely rebuilt. The radiator core has been cleaned and flushed.
The electrics have been completely replaced and re-wired in modern formats. Stainless steel cables replaced
from steering box to the rudder. All dash board gauges reconditioned or replaced. seats re-upholstered. br>and windscreens replaced with genuine ford parts. to meet modern safety standards. Every part of the vehicle
has been meticulously painted.

The differentials have been modified and upgraded to stop the entry of water whilst swimming. using a 4 pound
modern surgical air compressor. Traffic indicators have been added to comply with Queensland road laws. Life
Jackets comply with Queensland maritime safety requirements. The original generators has been upgraded to an
alternator to save weight and improve performance.   A firewall has been inserted to minimize heat transfer
into passenger compartment and optimize safety.

Fully registered in Queensland as both a road vehicle and a boat. Kilometers since restoration 420 kms.
This vehicle would suit any enthusiast with an interest in these highly prized and very rare vehicles.
Vehicle included lots of hard to get parts such as an anchor. fuel jerry can. head lamps. gauges. original
shovel and axe. Copies of original maintenance manual and parts list book.
