Hi everyone. selling my 1971 bay  (tax free). I have owned her for 14 years. 7 of which as my everyday driver . we've had some good times but now with a family and another one on the way! it's time to say goodbye as I just do not get the opportunity to drive it.

When i first bought the bay it was in good condition but i wanted a shiny new pearl raspberry paint-job so i took it to a local  Bodyshop then it ended up have a full restoration. It had new sills. arches and lower front panel. the rest was fine. all original and still in great shape. They welded and smoothed out the front panel giving it a clean/slick look at the front.

Now it's looking at bit sorry for itself. but to be fair it's done some serious camping trips!.

It's paint work is the main thing that lets it down now. And the only bit of welding needed is a pair of front arches which is a relatively easy job on these. The rest of the body is solid. but the paint is peeling away here and there. (There is no through rust on the panels) It would not take a great deal of time and money to get this back up to shape and looking sweet again with a buzz off and a fresh lick of paint.

A bit of tin wear in the engine bay is missing. where it had a Subaru engine in it for a few years ( don't worry. back to air cooled).  easily picked up on the net or at shows.  Speaking of engines it has a 1600 single port. nothing fancy but always starts and runs real well. Early bay . o has the small back lights  and rounded air vents (nice). Lowered a fair bit. sitting on classic empi 5 spokes.  Interior re-done about 4 years back. urf board style table.  elec leather front seats. rock n roll bed . bench seat with storage in. Thermostatically controlled gas heater(Propex . as about £300) . alpine head unit and six cd changer with amp and JL audio sub sitting under rock n roll bed . x9's in front and rear.   LED interior lights (friends called it the 7eleven . it was sooo bright)

over the years of owning it its obviously had loads a new parts and I have always maintained it fully. For example 2 years ago it had all new bearings. brakes etc and stainless exhaust system.

This van has no mot.  which from past experience ( which you can see from all the paperwork I have) should sail through with the new arches (or a good gaffa tape job on them. if you really wanted to use it straight away lol ;))
Also I've just seen the wiper blades don't look too clever either!  But all in all this is a good motor.  I've tried to show details in the photos. as you can see it needs a bit of work if you want a shiny camper. If you want a mint motor this ain't for you . but if you got a bit if time and a few quid to chuck at it. she'll do you proud.
Thanks for checking out my add. and please feel free to ask any questions. Sorry but I will not accept any p/x. thank you
