Renault R 8 circa 1962
Restoration started but now a change in personal circumstances necessitates the sale of this car. I've had it for 10 years. buying it from a guy in Brisbane who bought it from Joe Hodge
Car is without motor but has everything else Comes with a set of 5 Cosmic alloys in very good nick and very straight. Those of you who know Renaults know how rare these are. especially a set of five
Koni red shocks (both ends) in good nick. lower stiffer springs/anti roll bar up front Also comes with a fibreglass R 8 Gordini front panel Rear panel. engine and boot lid and both rear wings are perfect and painted in Gulf Blue. costing $3960. These panels have been kept in the house wrapped in blankets so are still perfect A towbar (not fitted) comes with the car. along with some other spares including another engine cover New front and rear window rubbers go with the car. and a couple of extra windscreens. and a new centre mounted roof aerial
There are 2 extra (wide) wheels and I believe these are 14 inch. They have never been on the car A new and unused Mot Lita steering wheel and genuine boss go with the car. along with original steering wheel A set of Gordini light surrounds (only) are included Car has always been stored in a garage and is only outside for photography.
Car was registered and driven until last year. The gearbox and brakes all worked well. and the pedals have been re done. There is obviously much work to do but it's beyond me
so it's got to go. I was going for a retro/ Singer Porsche look hence the Gulf Blue. The car will be sold as one lot so please no part out requests. I'll answer any questions and take more photos
as necessary. Even though there's work to be done there is excellent value here. just in parts alone. I needn't tell you how much has already been spent. those seasoned restorers will know.
