Up for sale 1972 AM General M 35 A 2 with a Hercules multi-fuel engine with 8. 76 Miles.
The truck was rebuilt in 1991 by the US Government.
Previous Life was in North Carolina National Guard.
I purchased the truck in September and have done lots of work to it.
The truck has been fully services real axel hubs have been flopped. all new seals in the rear. brakes adjusted in the rear. and put the 395 Michelin tires & hub adapters.
In November I had issues with it running - needed an injection pump - sent mine out and had it rebuilt by D&W Diesel in Auburn. NY which cost approx. $1500.
The truck runs beautiful now in 20 degree weather it fires right up with no problems.
Has a cold weather bra on it.
Everything works except it needs a high idle cable - I purchased a new one which was too short.
and it needs Front Outer Axle seals which come with it as well as other seals and parts such as another roof. back window. doors and two fuel tanks off a M 52 A 2.
Also comes with power steering pump and all of the components off the same M 52 A 2 and six factory bud-style wheels in great condition which can be bolted right back on.
The top that is on the Deuce is in rough shape but I have a rear section in excellent shape and a top that is extremely dented plus I have the original soft top which came off it when I purchased it.
Also have another headboard. most of the troop seats (missing 1 or 2 brackets).
