Morgan Plus 4 four seater. 1967

 

A beautiful. restored example in excellent running and driving condition.

 

Unusually powerful and smooth in operation.

compression is 155-160 psi in every cylinder. 70+ psi oil pressure. no smoke hot or cold. all like 'fresh from the factory. '  SU cars are nicely tuned. car idles smoothly. transmission is far better than average and shifts smoothly with good synchromesh action.   Same with front end. steering. brakes. ride. etc.

 

Body is superb as is the paint. chrome. trim. and details.   Interior is a nice blend of remarkable clean original and partially redone.   All original gauges and switches and everything works properly.

 

Car has a new top. new side curtains and new tonneau cover.    Wire wheels are excellent and the car needs absolutely nothing for show or daily use.

 

The Morgan Motor Company has been producing cars since 1910 and cars. such as this four seater. offer performance. reliability and remarkable easy in parts acquisition. a virtue of a company still in business and still supplying most anything an owner needs. DIRECTLY from the factory or one of many Morgan dealers in the U. S. A.    And with a Triumph TR4A engine and. for the most part. proprietary parts (TR wheels. Austin Healey disc brakes. on and on). simple and generally inexpensive to own and operate.

 

The four seaters were built on the same chassis as the two seaters. their greater length is merely an optical illusion.   BUT they are roomy and comfortable with adjustable front seats and with the occupants sitting on springs. NOT a piece of plywood (as with the two seaters).   And the rear seats are NOT jump seats but can accommodate full size adults.
