If you are looking for a very well sorted and quick Plus 8, this could be the one for you !

Whilst it was being built at the Morgan factory in 1998, the first owner asked that the engine be sent to Rover V 8 specialists J E Developments

for upgrading, before being installed.

J.E. Developments stripped the engine, balanced the bottom end, lightened the flywheel, ported and polished the cylinder heads and inlet manifold, fitted a fast road H 218 camshaft and lifters, and modified the ECU. The finished engine gave a reading on the test bed of 229 bhp , with maximum torque of 237 !

We have the factory build sheet and photographic record, signed by Peter Morgan, showing that the specification included a galvanised chassis, stainless steel bulkhead/inner wing valances, scuttle bar, aluminium body and wings, sports seats, head rests, centre lock 16" alloy wheels, Rolls Royce Velvet green paintwork, maroon Autolux leather upholstery, and black mohair weather equipment.

The completed car was then delivered to Libra Motive for the following upgrades to be fitted:

Librands Crossover stainless steel exhaust manifolds and exhaust systems, oil cooler, ITG air filter, Koni shock absorbers, brake reaction bars, negative camber plates, uprated front main springs and a Panhard rod to locate the rear axle.

Also fitted at the same time were:

Stainless steel bonnet stays, Moto-Lita steering wheel, Momo gear knob, luggage rack with side screen storage, and mohair side screen bag.

Later additions included:

Colour keyed Cibie Oscar spot lamps, full harness seat belts, walnut veneer dashboard, Allon White "Speed-Lift" hood conversion, Aero flush fuel filler cap, Mulfab aluminium radiator, Rutherford Engineering front suspension upgrades, Librands door checks, organ type throttle pedal.

Being a 1998 "Long-door" version it benefits from the stronger R 380 gearbox, BTR LSD axle and heated windscreen.

This is a stunning Plus 8, which has been meticulously maintained throughout it's life. The performance and sound are all you could hope for!
