1965 Pontiac GTO - Utah Showroom

The GTO disregarded GM's policy limiting the A-body intermediate line to a maximum engine displacement of 330 cu in). Pontiac general manager Elliot "Pete" Estes approved the new model. although sales manager Frank Bridge. who did not believe it would find a market. insisted on limiting initial production to 5. 00 cars.

New for 1965. the 389 engines received revised cylinder heads with re-cored intake passages and high rise intake manifolds. improving breathing. Rated power increased to 335 hp at 5. 00 rpm for the base four—barrel engine the Tri-Power engine was now rated 360 hp at 5. 00 rpm.

This nicely restored GTO is finished in Mayfair Maize with Black Interio. It has the 389 Tri-Power engine and 4 speed manual transmission with Safe-T-Track differential. It also features Rally ! Wheels and power steering. This car is fully documented with the factory build sheet.

Out of state buyers are not charged tax. title. or license. The customer is responsible for registering the vehicle in their home state.

Taxes and Fees
In state buyers will be charged state and local taxes. title. registration. and documentary fees. Our documentation fee is $50. All sales transactions must be completed within 5 days of auction close.

Deposit
We require a $1500 deposit within 3 days of winning the auction. Please call the dealership to make arrangements for payment.
