1973 VW Mantaray 2 Beach Buggy. also stated as this on the V 5.

This is a full custom rebuild that i've been working on for the past 3 years.

Im a professional mechanic with my own garage and this has been my pet project.

No expense spared with full powder coated chassis & suspension.

Has been professionally sprayed with TVR flip paint at a cost of over £2. 00 for paint alone.

Looks different colour depending on the sun and the angle viewed from. ranges from a purple (as stated on the V 5) to blue & gold.

A real headturner !
I bought every chrome accessory i could find. the engine is done in full heat proof paint & exhaust was imported specifically for this car.

Original USA 1970 s rims. fully powder coated and new stainless bolts fitted.

Has brand new Hankook tires all round. Since i finished the re build earlier this year and never been out in the rain.

Four seats. all fitted with safety belts.

Fully carpeted & custom side panels trimmed matching the rear seats.

Chrome spotlights & chrome rear view mirrors fitted to custom windscreen & frame.

Interior rear view mirror also in chrome and shipped in from the USA.

Front suspension narrowed at 2" to allow wheels to fit snugly under the arches.

Rear of the shell has been shortened 4" and widened 4" to allow larger rear wheels.

I used freelander side steps adapted to fit the chassis.

Mark 2 Golf steering column.
