1966 VOLKSWAGEN VW Splitscreen Camper Van Bus

1967 VW 13 Window Deluxe - No Reserve

This bus was brought over from California in 2009 by The Old Dub Shop after sitting idle for some years. I took delivery of it in June 2010 following an intensive 'under the skin' restoration. whilst ensuring that the original look was retained. I now need to sell the bus as it is a very expensive toy that I don't use and I have moved to a house that doesn't have the space for it! It was used a couple of times last year and then parked up at my work. I rolled it out a couple of days ago for the first time in about 8 months and started it without any problems. I am more than happy to arrange viewing. just give me a call or drop an e-mail. Unfortunately I'm not willing to hand over the keys for a test drive unless you can prove you have valid insurance. If you are really serious about buying. I can take you out for a drive.

This is a fantastic quality bus. loaded with good quality extras. It looks rough on the outside. but that's because I love the Original/Rat Look! Not much short of £20k has been spent on it. and it was in pretty good condition when originally imported.

UK Registered 2010.  V5 present

MOT & Tax due May 2013

Stored in a heated factory

Patina sun bleached paint work. lacquered to halt any further ageing!

Mechanical Stuff:

Upgraded to rack and pinion steering

Drop spindles to lower the front

Independent rear suspension (IRS) upgrade

Lowered all round (but still drivable!)

VW Beetle GT gearbox (Faster cruising speeds)

New cab and rear floors

All welding that was required was done. No structural rust. any inspection welcome.

Other Bits:

Paris Beetles full length sunroof

Custom red leather interior with cream piping

Rock and roll rear seat/bed with 2 x lap belts

Chrome Safari windows

It will need a couple of bits sorting to go through the MOT this year these include: One front indicator not currently working (probably a loose wire). windscreen squirters and horn disconnected. Oh and the windscreen wipers are crap. but it has never bothered me because I didn't take it out if it was raining. Will probably cost a couple hundred quid (or free if you do it yourself). to get a new MOT not £000's like a lot of the shiny looking busses out there!

Boring money type stuff:

There is no reserve. I am selling it for the price it reaches at auction.

The winning bidder will need to pay £100 by paypal within 2 days of auction ending.

Bus needs to be collected within 1 week of auction ending. unless previously agreed otherwise.

Balance to be bankers draft. cash or bank transfer before you drive away!

It is sold as seen and I will not accept returns.
