For sale an extremely rare 1965 hillman minx this vehicle was a 1 owner before I got it and is truely and "barn find" at its best. This car spent its life in Terang where it was owned by an old lady who used it to go shopping and put on a few bets on the horses. . and of course church. Her crucifix is still sitting where she left it on the transmission hump in front of the gear selector. This car had been sitting for an estimated 25 years before I got it. It required a some work to get it running again including. Complete new brake system. $10004 new tyres. which are rare hankook as these wheels are 15" and are extra narrow ($790)I installed an electric fuel pump as the original was not functioning. . put a rebuild kit in it. but still didn't work ($100)New wheel bearings ($125)New water pump. (That was extremely hard to find) $360
This vehicle is in amazingly good original condition. . I don't think anyone has ever sat in the back. . the dash looks brand new as does the rest of the car. . only having done 34000 original miles. it's basically a time capsule. There is some patina on the exterior. 1 tiny little rust hole behind 1 rear wheel. and a bit on the boot handle. . the underneath is awesome. still has the White colour under there. It will require a tune. and some exhaust work. after sitting idle for 25+ years rotted it. and when I started it up I blew the back half of the exhaust all over the back of the garage. This is an amazing car and I highly recommend an inspection. because whoever looks at it will buy it. . I'm only selling due to a lack of employment. which also means im around to arrange inspections which I recommend. . it's not very often an opportunity to buy such an original vehicle arises. . and after all the work and money I have invested. your buying the car for a few grand. . let my situation be your gain. priced to sell. and I reserve the right to remove this item at any time as it is listed elsewhere. happy to answer any questions. cheers Adam SURFBOARD AND ROOFRACKS ARE NOT FOR SALE.
