1981 Triumph Other for sale
Current customer rating:
1981 Triumph TR 7 Project has to go!!
My intention was to re-birth this car into a TR 8 clone using a 4. 0 Liter Rover Engine. Time and too many other projects won't allow me to follow through!
This is a great car to keep as it is. with some TLC. or start on a full-blown restoration. 1981 was the last year for Triumph and this is one of the last 500 units produced for the USA in the Solihull Plant in February 1981. This car has the desirable Factory Fuel Injection!
What it needs to be a good driver: 4 Struts. Top. headlight motor work. (4) tires. Re-covered seats. Lucas tinkering!!
The wheels are aftermarket with bolt pattern adapters. I have the stock wheels with 3 caps as well.
The overall body is in good shape. It has a 10 year old re-paint that is just OK. I've taken a couple of shots of areas where I think rust will need to be treated and dealt with. Around the rear fender arches at the rear and along the body seam for the rear quarters. You can't see from the outside. All others areas seem like they can be ground down. treated. and filled and painted.
It starts right away. shifts well. and still draws lots of attention.
I haven't owned the car long so I don't know a lot of history. NO title as Maine doesn't require for antique autos.
Please email with any questions. Good Luck!

I never like the black painted wheel. I sandblasted one today and it looks much better. Will do the other 3 prior to sale!!! Will need a topcoat of some kind.
