Up for sale is my 1975 164 E. This is a very special car because it seems to be the forgotten Volvo. 1975 was the last year for the 164 making this also a unique car. It shares some of the features with the early 240/260 series. I have owned this car for many years and have enjoyed the entire ownership. I simply do not drive it enough and this type of car needs to be driven often. I am the second owner of the car. the first owner was a Mrs. Myrtle Bernard of Riverside California. The car then traveled with her all over the west ending up in Oklahoma where it was stored for many years until it was pulled out of a decaying barn and restored. This car is a California car and has never seen snow and probably never seen rain in the past 20 years. I still have the owners manual with the salesmen's card and the license plate surrounds from the dealer it was bought from. It does have 96. 00 original miles with a working odometer. however the engine is new as it has just had a rebuild(why there is a reserve to cover rebuild cost). Everything works in the car with no problems and drives and stops wonderfully. The car was painted a few years ago with the original paint color San Andres Copper and cost over $6000 for paint and prep alone. The seats are original but have had new foam put in. but are in great shape with no rips or stains. The car has always been garaged kept.
Since my ownership I have done many things to the car. It does have a rebuild engine in it with less than 50 miles on it. Other things that I have done include:
New tires (less than 50 miles on them)New fuel injectors New fuel injection wiring harness from Volvo New piston rings New bearings Valve job Complete engine rebuild New belts New hoses New Bosch plug wires New spark plugs New distributer New fan shroud New blower motor All new AC components New driver side power window motor New springs New driveshaft support New fuel tank New fuel pump New taillights I do have 5 big boxes of parts that can be included with the car if desired.
I have all receipts dating back many years.
Everything works great in this car including the unique front only power windows. AC is very cold and heat is hot. The car has absolutely no rust on it and is very complete and solid. I can send more pictures or videos of it running if needed. Please do not hesitate to call or
