1962 International Harvester Scout 80 with a removable hard top; This scout runs great and has been totally rebuilt except for the motor that runs strong. Odometer reading is 64. 09 miles.

Interior: Painted off white with newly upholstered seats. all of the original gauges. heater. original vacuum. windshield wipers work. new center console for comfort. all doors and windows work smoothly.

Exterior: This truck has a 20' paint job (looks great from 20' away). It has some small dings in various areas but no huge dents. It has no rust and is very clean. It's painted International Harvester Red with an off white hard top that looks and works great even with the interior dome light (that works). The stock roll bar was added for safety when top is off. I had a custom bikini top made for those hot days going to the beach. The roll bar is also powder coated.

Motor and transmission: The original 152 4 cylinder has original paint and has no leaks. I repeat NO leaks! Amazing for a truck 54 years old! No smoke. just purrs like a kitten! Transfer case has small leak out of the front. just needs a seal. Both the front and rear axles have been completely rebuilt including:
Front: Dana 27 axle shift seals
4x4 front bearings and seats gasket etc. kit
Front axle kingpin bearing kit
Rear: Emergency axle overhaul kit Dana 27
Rear tapered axle bearing (special order)
Bearing axle shift cup
Rear hub grease seal
Trunnion cone and bearings/pinion
New spider gear

4 new 15" all terrain Cooper tires. 4 rims powder coated. 1 new front bumper powder coated. New headlights. turn signals and tail lights. New clutch. pressure plate and throw out bearing. New fork for throw out bearing. New hydraulic clutch master cylinder. New front drive shaft and u-joints. All new universal joints replaced. New exhaust system. muffler and tail pipe. Welded hang brackets. Total tune up. new plugs. new Rotor and cap. new wires. new battery and battery tray. new coil. new valve corner gasket. replaced freeze plugs. new motor mounts. new transmission mount. rebuilt radiator. rebuilt starter. all new radiator hoses and belt. new water pump. replaced horn button and horn. new twin stick and shifter boots. Weber new style. new 2 barrel carburetor. new alternator pumping 14. 2 volts -- Now for the important stuff: rebuilt searing box from Scout parts dealer. CPT Scout Pitman arm and heavy duty drag link. CPT heavy duty tired assembly. front disc brakes (including hubs/rotor combo). caliper supports. calipers. brake pads and stainless steel break hoses. master cylinder. proportioning valve and m/c push rod. rear axle drum break kit. complete CPT 2" suspension system. new leaf springs shackles U-Bolts Bilstein shocks. new rear parking break cables (WOW. a scout with a parking break that actually works!). new fuel tank with sending unit and fuel filler neck. new all-wheel drive emblem. new Scout "cursive" emblem.

Overall this scout is ready for a paint job and it will be show-room ready. I have invested well over $20. 00 to this point. I have two other scouts that were way worse than this and you can see how they can turn out. Mechanically this truck I would drive to New York to California and back! It needs a little love on the paint and you will be turning heads everywhere you go!

Hello! I'm wondering if this listing is still available. I'm looking for a weekend beach cruiser for our cottage in Delaware. Please let me know. Many thanks, Katrina
