FORD GT40 REPLICA GTD CHASSIS UNFINISHED PROJECT KIT CAR for sale
Current customer rating:
Welcome to the sale of my GTD GT 40 kitcar project. /
The only reason for this sale is a new business venture because I would love to finish it to keep.
So where do I start I've own the car for a year or so I got the car from an engineering company that built it in the 90 s I think they did shows and classic car pervades with the car so it was a running car but not road legal. I haven't touched the car since I've own it as I've been to busy with other things but I have fitted a new starter motor and had a look at the wiring to get all the lights working.
Right so the car will need to be fully run though by the new owner there is a few marks on the bodywork. the worse one by far is the one on the front clam.
The car does start drive and stop for loading purposes. But I do think the front brakes are sticking on a bit due to being stood for so long. The motor is a Ford 302 v 8 with the standard GTD exhaust system the engine starts straight away first time and runs great no nasty noises. The gearbox is a Renault UN 1 transaxle with cable change so it's nice and smooth not like the rod type. The car will come with the knock on hub adaptors so if u want to get knock on wheels it should save you some money.
Like I said the car will need to be road registered but I do have a 1967 Ford Angler and a 1968 Ford Cortina V 5 c that mite help u put it on the road or at least give you a number plate of the right year for a GT 40.
If you have any question at all please message me on here as I'm out of the country and the mo. You can view the car it is at my family home near Bath and Bristol if you like just message me and I will put you in contact with my father.
All viewings are welcome.
