1975 Triumph TR6 Roadster, Old English White, outstanding restored car for sale
Current customer rating:
This beautiful TR 6 has the classic British sports car look and feel in its original color scheme of Old English White paint and black interior.
In the mid-1970's. two college classmates had TR 6's on campus when they were new cars and the look caught my attention then and never let go!
I obtained this car in 2011 from a collector in Illinois. who had obtained and registered it there in August 2004.
I do not know the prior ownership history.
I'm selling because my sons' tuitions take priority.
The car is in brilliant condition. as a very correct unmolested original that was lightly restored in its original color scheme about a decade ago.
The restoration was not a "frame-off". but it was very thorough. including engine rebuild. refurbishment of chassis mechanicals. bare-metal respray. and interior kit.
It is clean as a whistle both above and beneath and runs strongly and reliably. with the excellent power/weight ratio of the in-line 6 engine.
It has the over-drive option.
I find no corrosion anywhere.
All systems function as they should.
All dash instruments work properly.
The tires are in like-new condition.
The seats and top are in excellent condition.
This is a car you can immediately use and enjoy and it will lend you a great image!
I listed this car once in early July. and it drew a huge amount of attention and vigorous bidding but fell short of my reserve price.
I am now re-listing with the intention that it will sell. so I am offering a buy-it-now option at the same figure as I had set for the reserve in the prior auction. which I believe very fairly values this car in this condition. but at the same time I have set a very low bid threshold and a new lower reserve that is thousands below the prior figure. at about the high bid of the last auction. and way below my acquisition cost.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions. either by phone at
or by email at tspilsbury myfairpoint. net .
Let's have a spirited auction and a new owner!
